The People We Sit at Tables With
Fire crews, realtors, builders, and the Chamber all touch the same houses we insure. Being in those rooms is how we hear what is coming before it turns up on a renewal notice.
Five Rooms Worth Being In
Each of these groups sees a different part of the same problem. Together they cover a Santa Fe property from the forest above it to the closing table.
Fire & Emergency Services
Through the Greater Santa Fe Fireshed Coalition we sit in partner meetings alongside the Santa Fe County Fire Department, land managers, and researchers responsible for the forest above the city. Fuel treatment and prescribed burning decided in that room change the exposure on properties we write.

The Santa Fe Association of REALTORS hosted a wildfire awareness discussion for its membership in November 2024, and Ned was one of the commentators addressing how properties are protected from wildfire damage. Agents who understand insurability give better advice to owners, buyers, and sellers.

We support the New Mexico Home Builders Association, the statewide voice for residential construction. It sits within the National Association of Home Builders federation, which links national, state, and local HBAs, including the Santa Fe Area association serving seven Northern New Mexico counties since 1992.

The Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce has been the voice of local business since 1882, and Ned has featured on its Business Matters radio programme. Most of our commercial clients are Chamber-sized businesses, so what gets discussed there is what we end up underwriting.
Santa Fe ChamberHOAs & Neighbourhood Groups
An open invitation rather than a standing arrangement. If your HOA or neighbourhood association wants someone to walk a meeting through wildfire risk, defensible space, and what keeps homes in your area insurable, Ned will come and do it. No charge, no sales pitch.
Invite us to a meetingCommunity Organisations
Beyond the trade bodies, we back eight Santa Fe organisations working on education, housing, animal welfare, and forest stewardship. That side of the work has nothing to do with writing policies and everything to do with living here.

Insurance Is Downstream of Everyone Else's Decisions
A policy is priced on risk, and almost none of that risk is set by the insurer. It is set by how the forest above a property is managed, how the house was built, what the roof is made of, and whether the neighbourhood has done any preparation at all.
Every group on this page controls part of that. Sitting with them means we are not just reacting to rate changes after they land, we are hearing the reasoning early enough to tell clients what to do about it.
- Earlier warning. Fuel treatment and fire planning are discussed months before they change anything on the ground
- Better advice at the closing table. Realtors who understand insurability stop deals collapsing at the last minute
- Build decisions that age well. What the trade specifies today determines what is insurable in ten years
- A neighbourhood effect. One hardened home helps; a prepared street helps far more
Bringing a Group Together? We Will Come and Speak.
Associations, boards, HOAs, and brokerages. Ned covers wildfire risk, home hardening, and insurability in plain language, with no product pitch attached.
